Milo is not only beloved and familiar flavour to Filipinos but a culturally significant drink in the Philippines. Milo would promote young Filipino athletes through featuring them on the tins, television adverts and bill boards. It was one of the few international brands that felt as if they acknowledged and wanted to represent Filipinos in the limelight. Outside of these iconic Milo Athletes, a cold milo with toasted pandesal was the perfect after-school snack to many people.
