We decided to make a Salted egg yolk ice cream as one of these Espesyal flavours. Salted egg yolk ice cream is a nod to the ingredient commonly used in many Asian cakes and desserts like the traditional Chinese mooncake, which is often enjoyed during the mid-autumn festival. Turning this unique ingredient into an ice cream flavour was our way to highlight the cured delicacy.

Mamasons is one of the first Filipino ice cream parlors in the world, and it has quickly gained a reputation for its innovative flavors. We love to experiment with our espesyal flavours and this year has been no different. For example Tiramisu Ice Cream, taking inspiration from the coffee-flavoured Italian dessert.
