MAKE UBE GREAT AGAIN
American - Filipino inspired ice cream in the UK
In celebration of our American friends’ fourth of July holiday, with the help of our chefs, bakers and kuya Edwin (our unique in-house ice cream machine), Mamasons created 4 limited edition ice cream flavours. Especially for you guys, we found the perfect equipoise between iconic American treats with our very own ‘piece de resistance’, Ube flavoured ice cream.

4 flavours for 4 days
Ube Pecan Pie
The richness of our home-cooked pecan pie and the delicious crunch of the pecan halves with the creamy texture of our ube ice cream, make for a mouthwatering union you didn’t know you needed. Despite being smashed into bite-sized pieces, our pecan pies were so artistically handcrafted, because no love is lost when creating desserts especially for you guys.
Ube Cookies & Cream
We whipped up this flavour of classics with our signature ube ice cream mixed in with traditional US cookies & cream. Our halo halo is already sprinkled with cookies and cream, and that already is THE topping on top, so we decided to make it a full fledged flavour. Our 4 days of American celebration wouldn’t be complete without this combo. (You can read more about Halo Halo on Business Insider here)
Nothing is as comforting as an indulgent fudge brownie with ice cream on top. But using our chef’s especially formulated brownie recipe, we decided to throw chunks of chocolaty, chewy and crumbly brownie-goodness into our ice cream. Why not have both treats in one? As the brownies blend as one with the velvety texture of our ube ice cream.
If you’ve been to our parlours, then you know we serve ‘queso’ (cheese) flavoured ice cream. For some this may seem way too crazy as an ice cream flavour, however, as we like to describe it, it “tastes just like cheesecake” and it does. But as our queso ice cream only tastes like cheesecake, for this 4 day specialty, we thought to bring you just that. A New York cheesecake carefully mixed into our ube ice cream, creating a flavour that is a balance of salty, sweet and definitely cheesier.
If you came in and tried any of our special flavours during our 4 day 4th of July festivities to ‘MAKE UBE GREAT AGAIN’, please share your experiences with us!
