BAKED BAES (PART 1)
It’s no secret that we love experimenting in the Mamasons kitchen. Between eating and selling scoops, we’re constantly pushing out limited edition treats for you guys to try out. Sometimes they’ll hang around for a few weeks, and sometimes it’s two days and they’re gone forever! Or are they…?
Mamasons Chinatown is going to be the new home for our baked collection! We’ll be rotating sweet eats in and out of the store – all your favourites will make a comeback, but not for long. Everything is handmade in store, so you’ll have to be quick if you want to get the goods. To make sure you know what to look out for, here’s the hit list of Fili foods.
The Regulars - Bilog (July '17) and Ube Brownie (Dec '17)
If you don’t already know our Mamasons mainstays, what are you doing with your life? Our bilog (‘round’ in Tagalog) is a pandesal – a Filipino milk bun. We cut it open, add your choice of dirty ice cream, and toast it in a hot press. The result? A warm ice-cream donut, with ice-cream just a bite away. Occasionally we’ll mix the bilog up as well – like our red velvet bilog, specially made for Valentine’s Day.
The ube brownie was meant to be a special item, but it’s so loved that we’ve kept it around ever since! Ube mixed with Belgian white chocolate turned out to be a match made in heaven, and with a scoop of ice cream on top, you’ll be lost for words.
Ube Doughnut (Feb '18)
We already had an ice-cream donut, so a ‘regular’ donut was a no-brainer. You won’t find our donuts anywhere else, though! We spent weeks making the best ube custard filling, and then a milo flavour to go with it. Both are great with one of our house coffees. Hell, just looking at the pictures is making our mouths water.

Ube. Cheesecake. Do we really need to say any more?
The cheesecake was one of our hardest desserts to make, but we’re so happy we didn’t give up! On a hot summer’s day, the cool, creamy and rich texture paired with the earthy flavour of ube… is it any surprise we called it our bae?
